Humility
Luke 14:7-11 (amp)
7Now He told a parable to those who were invited, [when] He noticed how they were selecting the places of honor, saying to them,
8When you are invited by anyone to a marriage feast, do not recline on the chief seat [in the place of honor], lest a more distinguished person than you has been invited by him,(A)
9And he who invited both of you will come to you and say, Let this man have the place [you have taken]. Then, with humiliation and a guilty sense of impropriety, you will begin to take the lowest place.
10But when you are invited, go and recline in the lowest place, so that when your host comes in, he may say to you, Friend, go up higher! Then you will be honored in the presence of all who sit [at table] with you.
11For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled (ranked below others who are honored or rewarded), and he who humbles himself (keeps a modest opinion of himself and behaves accordingly) will be exalted (elevated in rank)
I had two dreams this morning:
I was planning for drumming at the prayer room. I was very nervous and excited too, cause it's my first time to drum. When I got in to the drum room, I all the cymbals stands are gone. Only thing left is toms. I got more and more nervous, I brought the cymbals as usual, but there were no stands. I look around and try to find ways to find other tools to hold the cymbals. However it can't hold it at all. I felt really anxious and nervous. I kept on using my own strength to figure out ways to hold the cymbals, and finally I was going to play on these man made cymbal stands. Then I peaked down on the bottom left, on the most unnoticable place I found the stands. Then I hurried pull them off and put the cymbals on.
This morning I was reading this verse and I thought to myself... hmm.. This is about humility. If I would've waited on the Lord, and not trying to push it through and do it my own way, I would've saw it earlier. And the reason these stands are in the most invisible places, it's because that's where He wanted me to go. The invisible way, that's where you'll find the help of God. That where you'll find divine intervention and the supernatural strength and power. These stands symbolizes characters and structures, which holds and contains the anointing. If I've got the anointing (the cymbals) which can make loud noise alone is not enough, I have nothing to hold it? I need both, structure and anointing, which will produce the power of God.
