Chapter 4
The reason that Jesus was sent to earth is this, Luke 4:43 "I must preach the good news of the kingdom of God to the other towns also, because that is why I was sent." Isaiah 61:1-2 and LUke 4:18-19 "The spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor."
It is the preaching of the gospel, the good news of the Kingdom of Heaven.
Luke 10:18
I saw Stan fall like lightning from heaven. I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.
Do we truly understand the authority that Jesus gave to us. It says to trample on snakes and scorpions and overcome "ALL" the power of the enemy.
Ephesians 6
We wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world, and against spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
The battle is real, but one thing we know, we already have the victory. However there is still a process of fighting and wrestling. Overcoming means we prevail.
