Devotion 7/13

I'm considering fasting facebook, it has consumed a lot of my time. And I must prepare myself for GOE. Please pray that God will continue to strengthen me and give me grace, protect me from all evil.

Ch 11
King of glory comes in, people threw their clothes on the ground to make a way for the king. We must pout out our love, our comfort thing, our religious system and pay homage to the king. Worship him extravagantly, for he is worthy. And He will be welcomed. Interestingly, right after the king of glory comes in, he drives out the those who are buying and selling.

When we invite the king of glory to come into our lives our hearts, we must cleanse it. Allow the Holy Spirit to drive it out of us. let go the things of the world. Every intention that is not base of the true worship of Jesus has to go out of our lives. Ask yourself, why are we here at church? Are we still looking for our friends? Are we still wanting to be recognized? Or are we truly here to worship the king of glory?

This chapter, I think Jesus is dealing with the heart problem, through the example of cleansing the temple (us right?) also the example of the dealing with the Pharisees, Jesus reveals the deceitful scheme in their hearts by asking them a question back. So when we want the glory of God in our lives, the most important thing is to cleanse the temple, letting no deceit, vileness in us. And the way to do that is through praying- 11:17 We must ourselves become a house of prayer for all nation, this is not just for some physical place, but ourselves too. Intercessors' final goal is for the glory of God, there is not other purpose. This is the fundamental of intercession.

Ch 12
Jesus dealing with the Pharisees.
My favorite verse: 29-30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength, the second is this: Love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no commandment greater than these.

Lord I pray this will be my life verse, I want to be ever falling in love with you. Forgive me of losing the first love, would you bring me back again. Jesus I love you, I love my Lord. There is no one like you, so precious and beautiful. Dear Lord, you are the lover of my soul. Please dear Lord, let me love you more. I ask for the relationship of a bride and bridegroom. I want to be your spotless bride. Help me Jesus.

Ch 13
A watchful spirit. If you need that watchfulness in the spirit, meditate on this chapter.
Watching of the hour, for we know not when the son of man is coming. He will come suddenly.

I thought about the past few weeks, I had lost the watchful spirit. I had lost the discipline schedule in my diet, in my exercise. I know it's going to be very hard in the coming days, physically. There will be earthquakes, disasters. We must ever prepare ourselves physically. I really need to redo my schedule, putting some exercise time. Building some muscles and stamina. Same thing in the spirit, I must feel my spirit a lot more, and exercise my spirit man a lot more through prayer and worship and evangelism.
