Book of Acts 1 - Two Witnesses

Two Witnesses
Elijah and Moses are two witnesses that seem to appear on all important times when Jesus is around. Even though we cannot know for sure these are the 2 olive trees, the two witnesses that the bible talks about, but we definitely can see their ministries do align from beginning to the end in the word of God. Moses represents the witness of the Old Covenant, the Law that was given by God. Whenever God does things God requires 2 or 3 witnesses to establish something, to show forth His justice. Although He doesn't need witnesses because He is God 3 in 1 persons: Father, Son, Holy Spirit whatever He does is already righteous and witnessed, God still requires witnesses of the earthly realm, living humans from the human side to administer the truthfulness of God, this is totally for our sake and Satan's. In this way when we stand on trial everything is fair and just.

These two witnesses appeared during Jesus transfiguration on the mountain, I believe here the bible is giving us the biggest hint as to who would appear. Also Elijah would come again in Malachi's prophecy also confirms the hint of who the 2 witnesses would be. These men appear on the mountain to discuss regarding the Father's plan of Jesus, the redemptive plan to save the world through death on the cross and resurrection. Then here in Acts 1 when Jesus is caught up to Heaven for one last time before the apostles are read to build the church and receive the third person of the Trinity. These two men are witnesses bearing testimony of the truthfulness of the fulfilling of the prophetic words. Then at the second coming of Jesus, these two men will come again to warn the world and prepare the paths for Christ's return. I believe that these men will be the first to receive the resurrection because their resurrection is very much like that of Jesus. Paul says He wants to be like Christ so that somehow he may attain to the resurrection of Christ. These men will come again becuase techinically Elijah had never taste death. And even though God bearied Moses, but Moses was talking with Jesus on the Mount of Transfiguration and to the disciples Moses is not a ghost, he is just like a man with body. There is a mystery here about Moses, even Jude talked about it that Satan was fighting for the bones of Moses. Well, biblically we can see that Elijah had never tasted first death, and Moses is most likely raised to life at some point they both will come back and battle the Antichrist kingdom and to torment the unrepented. They would die, then in three days raised to life very much just like the Son of God.

Revelation 11

11 I was given a reed like a measuring rod and was told, “Go and measure the temple of God and the altar, with its worshipers. But exclude the outer court; do not measure it, because it has been given to the Gentiles. They will trample on the holy city for 42 months. And I will appoint my two witnesses, and they will prophesy for 1,260 days, clothed in sackcloth.” They are “the two olive trees” and the two lampstands, and “they stand before the Lord of the earth.”[a] If anyone tries to harm them, fire comes from their mouths and devours their enemies. This is how anyone who wants to harm them must die. They have power to shut up the heavens so that it will not rain during the time they are prophesying; and they have power to turn the waters into blood and to strike the earth with every kind of plague as often as they want.

Now when they have finished their testimony, the beast that comes up from the Abyss will attack them, and overpower and kill them.Their bodies will lie in the public square of the great city—which is figuratively called Sodom and Egypt—where also their Lord was crucified. For three and a half days some from every people, tribe, language and nation will gaze on their bodies and refuse them burial.10 The inhabitants of the earth will gloat over them and will celebrate by sending each other gifts, because these two prophets had tormented those who live on the earth.

11 But after the three and a half days the breath[b] of life from God entered them, and they stood on their feet, and terror struck those who saw them. 12 Then they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, “Come up here.” And they went up to heaven in a cloud, while their enemies looked on.

13 At that very hour there was a severe earthquake and a tenth of the city collapsed. Seven thousand people were killed in the earthquake, and the survivors were terrified and gave glory to the God of heaven.

I believe there is a reason why Jesus wants them to be there to witness His transfiguration. There is a reason why God preserved for them for thousands of years and made them witnesses of the human history. There is a reason why they witness Jesus resurrected and was taken up. They life testimony is to preparing for the saints for the glorification the power of the age to come. They been taught by God what raptured mean with physical body, then they been taught by Jesus about this glorification of Jesus body on the mountain, then they was given another lesson on the death of Jesus then becoming the firstborn from the dead receiving that first supernatural resurrected body. God is preparing them for the End-Time ministry to bear witness of God's words that all His promises are true. When God says Death where is your sting? They'll bear witness to that. When God says all who believe will never die and they will be given to resurrected bodies as a prelude for the church to get ready to see what God will do to honor His faithful children walking with Him without compromise and wavering. Then in the mist of persecution and chaos on the earth, many will follow this pattern of death and resurrection and enter into immortality by the clothing of our new home, the resurrected bodies.

Last point I want to make is every time these witnesses appear there are always glory clouds. And whenever there is rapture or activities between a transferal bewteen Heaven and Earth or Earth to Heaven there is also Clouds. Well, some say clouds are the vehical to carry us around in Heaven. I'd like to have moer revelation on this.
