How to walk out Humility?
The key to the question, is to renew our mindsets.
I want to present to you a biblical view of life in situations. The bible clearer says cloth yourself with humility to one another, and see others better than yourself. But this command is extremely hard to do. In fact, I don't think anyone can do it without the supernatural power/revelation of God.
Think about Joseph's life and David's life in the bible. Think about Jesus. They are men of honor, men of prosperity, they are men of integrity, men of great wealth and dignity. In fact, they are kings! They are priest of the most royal race! They had thousands of angels at their disposal to accomplish the will of God, they had hundreds of bodyguards giving their lives to ensure their safety. They are men of such glory and honor.
Are they kings when they were in the prison? Being persecuted? Being humiliated and shamed before people? Are they prosperous when they have nothing? Are they Sons of God and men of honor when they live on the streets and despise by others? The answer is YES, absolutely!!
The key to humility is this, we must have a revelation of the dignity of who we are! We are kings and prosperous men, though we undergo prisons. We are men of honor, though not being recognized and dishonored. Outward situation do not change who we are. The only reason the circumstances seem to come against us is because God wants to bring us into better circumstances. If not right now, then ten years from now. But it does not change the fact that I am the elite of the elite of the kingdom of God. Look at Jesus, even when He's only 30 years old being disowned by people, He walked like a king, He spoke like a king, He loves like a King, He dances and smiles like a King, because that is who He is. He cannot change who He is!! Joseph is the same! As he dresses simply and worked in the caved in the prison, He walks like a King! He do things like a King, He speaks Like a Prince! He is a prince of God. And the word of God will test Him and lifts him up when the time is up!
1 Peter 5
6Therefore humble yourselves [demote, lower yourselves in your own estimation] under the mighty hand of God, that in due time He may exalt you,
