Separation from the World

Separation from he world does not mean merely separate from its things. I realize a big part is to change our attitudes. 3 big things contain in the world is the lust of the flesh, eyes and pride of this life. Every attitude of self exaltation and taking pride in one's ability are ways of the world. What should we change our attitudes to? The motivation of our service to Christ should be just as simple as Jesus, to please the Father. It's a friendship. I'd like to be there simply because I'd like to hang out, there's no other reasons. I'd like to be with the person. Therefore all my burdens left because I am not performing and drawing attention placing the pressure upon myself, instead I'm simply there to please my Lord and Father. Like a 2 year old son and daughter, holding Father's hand just exploring what He has for me. More examples of such attitudes are the boasting of the people that I know, the organization I belong to, the achievement of life, and more. We had carry the same attitude from the world in the Christianity, we just made it more spiritual to cover up the hidden pride. My prayer is that I can come into such relationship with the Holy Spirit and the son and the Father that I do all things out of friendship and not selfish ambition or insecurity. It takes His healing love to heal the deepest wound in us so we can know His love.
