My Story 12-14: Years of Foundation

I'm attempting to remember and record what God has done in my life through out the years. I found that these soul searching reflections are really great to put me in perspective. I find that the most valuable lessons I'd learn it from my own life myself. These are pillars that God intended to build in my life. We can move on so quickly many times and miss and forget what He's teaching us, thus loosing the full potential of what God wants for us. The vision that keeps us restraint and on path is not just forward, but often backwards. Remember your own history so you can stay the course. I feel that the Holy Spirit had prompted me to record and write down these lessons for myself and also for others that we can hold on to the precious truths that He had given us.

But
the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teachyou; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him. (1 John 2:27)

  • Years of Foundation 1999-2000 (Fifth Grade ~ Middle School)

    • 成功嶺- every 10 days before midterms or finals our youth fellowship will hold these study camps, having all the students stay together study and devo living together. The experience taught me how to be disciplined. What it’s  like to be in the military for Christ. Even under great testing and trials of life, through discipline and vigorous training and dependence on God, you can truly prevail. I have to say, I’m not the bright one in class, my memory is not particularly good. I’m better at math and anything athletic or artistic. But for me to learn how to study and learn time management those years developed a mentality that if I would have vision I can succeed in those difficult tasks.
    • This is the beginning of my romance with God. This is where I got grounded and rooted into Christianity in biblical foundation: understanding the bridal paradigm, prayer, discipleship, and home church model, even training in evangelism. This is where I fell in love with God and love going to church and spending time with brothers, whether it was bonding time or spiritual time. I love those experiences joining the big church family. I found much joy in church life during this period of time. It was also during this time I had the thought to serve God full time.

  • Valuable Lessons
    • Discipline and Determination are the foundation of success. Only with these you can overcome all challenges.
    • My love for God was planted by many older brothers and sister long time ago. We may not have the same theology now, but I received so many good inheritance from Local Church. I received a good foundation of purity, doctrine, fellowship love, discipleship, and love of services. I'm an extension of their ministry.
