Acquiring A Life of Wisdom

My Key Revelation is this, "How can I acquire a life of wisdom in regarding to make wise decision in life?" I believe to get revelation of God's call and will in our lives is one matter, but you need another foot to walk the journey that is wisdom. Many times I find myself bumping into a wall because I know the will of God as to what He's wanting to give me, yet I approach it without the wisdom therefore delaying the promise. Therefore I come to the conclusion that in order to discern the will of God is two fold. First the revelation as to what the Holy Spirit is convicting you to do, then acquiring a way of wisdom as to the How to to apply the revelation. With both revelation and wisdom we can enter into the promises of God. To get wisdom is essential in understanding God's will for your life, it's not enough simply acquiring what He wants, but the how to is also part of the will of God. Here's a scripture that says it well,

And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be [c]transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you].

This is part of journey in finding His will and plan for our lives, but it really requiring a maturing of the spirit of wisdom operating in our lives in order to understand God's full will, not just good acceptable but perfect will. It says here for us to not be conformed to the worldly way of doing and thinking of things. What is the world consists of? Lust of the eye, lust of the flesh, and pride of life which the is lacking love of God. Which means to walk in godly wisdom in search of God's will will be operating in a contrary spirit. And in the process we can cancel out any ideas of these worldly passions, they will not be the will of God. But it will be a process for us to renew our way of thinking to align.

I have recently find out this passage of scripture in a different light and a fully understanding as to how to discern if we receive something from the Lord or how to craft our plan to do His will:

But the wisdom from above is always pure holy, filled with peaceconsiderate and teachable easy to correct. It is filled with love mercy and never displays prejudice or hypocrisy in any form and it always bears the beautiful harvest of righteousness! Good seeds of wisdom’s fruit will be planted with peaceful acts by those who cherish making peace.

Well in this passage it gives us massive clue as to walking in wisdom. I love it whatever the shadow of OT is talking about like the book of proverbs now in light of Jesus Christ and the Spirit of Truth, God begins to unfold in the most practical sense as to these truths. We no longer just know the general, but now the Father is training us to discern and search out wisdom in the detail way. IT's like these treasures of wisdom and knowledge are all hidden in Christ, and now James is unfolding them in plan view for us. This is the power of reading and studying God's word in both light of OT and NT by the Holy Spirit because the truths will be in fuller display of understanding with the revelation of Jesus. God is beckoning us to not just understand what wisdom is, but begin to fashion our lives in wisdom. To build our lives in wisdom let it become a way of life as to walking in the spirit of wisdom, in such way all men on earth will notice the glory on your life.

We can break down this passage in major areas to keep godly wisdom in check, there is a order of checklist:
  1. Heavenly Relation: Must be pure and holy (empty of lust, greed, pride, ways of flesh, instant gratification)
  2. Self Relation: Must be full of peace (the inward witness of Holy Spirit a sense of green light and presence)
  3. Peer Relation: Considerate, suitable (Is this helpful and considerate of others? Am I benefiting others?)
  4. Upward RelationTeachable (Am I seeking counsel, and being teachable to authorities e.g. parents, boss, spiritual leaders? Am I easy to correct.) [Notice this word is not submit, but teachable, meaning not beating down yourself and suffer in total blind obedience, but be open to suggestion, keeping a healthy relationship.]
  5. Downward RelationMercy and Never display Hypocrisy (Is the decision full of mercy and love to people under me? Am I wearing a mask before people, and judging them? I should be doing all this out of compassion and honestly openness. Also giving others chances of not judging them by our own insights)
  6. The Result: You should expect a multiplication of righteousness (meaning your circumstances, people around you will be aspired to do right, there should be a positive impact towards your sphere of influence, people will be aspire to walk in God's ways)
  7. The Seed: It always begin with intention of keeping bond of peace, protecting, and promoting unity in the body of Christ.
Give a practical example, 3-4 years ago I was planning to move from US to Taiwan. I know that God is speaking to me to make the transition but I didn't know the wisdom of it until I begin to discern God's will in a deeper way. Well, first in heavenly relation I know it wasn't out of my own idea, and my own want to go to Taiwan. I wanted to go to KC, Bethel somewhere easier somewhere according to my own want. I prayed and waited and God begin to give me words through prophets, songs, leaders different ones, dreams, and circumstances as a way for me to know that this is His will for me to go. Through out his long process I was empty of instant gratification, my own desires and likes. I begin to seek only what He wants. When I made the full deep in my spirit I know it's a green light, I know this is what God wants. In me there is peace to leave where I'm currently at and to journey out into the wild. Is it considerate to peers? Yes it was, at the time at my departure I spent much time as to helping my work place to train up someone to take my place, as well as in worship ministry there were growing number of worship leaders which enable me to leave then. My position was being covered, so my decision as I waited I was showing considerate on my part to work and ministry. Then I was remaining teachable through out opening my heart to let mentors, spiritual leaders pray and speak into my life. Of course not all leader approve of it, but most do. I prayed and I know I must make the decision as to please God. The key here is not submit to all leaders, but rather to remain humble and teachable. You leaders will always change and not necessary be there to cover you or guide you, but are you seeking counsel prayer coverings and remaining teachable and humble is extremely important. Do you have people that can speak into your life at that given point of life? I did. I have many who spoke to my life and gave me confidence. I was lucky, but I know as time move on we must not always have the luxury for people to speak into us in a positive. We need to discern our own hearts.

Then its mercy. God is requiring us in our decision to show mercy love to people around and live without hypocrisy. I've got to make sure my decision is loving and merciful to people around and showing integrity and trustworthiness. Then lastly the impact of righteousness in my sphere of influence was evident. I think my decision to move provoke many of my friends to step out in God's will to make the right move to step out on the dreams of God. And overall was a lonely journey but I've learned the voice of God much better than before and our heart focus was restored much better than the business of ministry. I can see the work of God in me making me mature and wiser than before. I also know my heart desire is always promoting unity through out. Seeking unity with my leaders and peers.
