Exodus 28

Exodus 25-36

Chapter 28

29-30 Interestingly only the priest, Aaron can enter into the holy place. It says that the breastpiece will be upon Aaron as he enter into the presence of the Lord. The breastpiece consists of the 12 stones of Israel and the interesting Urim and Thummim, which represents the direction and decision of the Lord. If it's a yes I think Urim will shine forth light, if it's a no then Thummim will shine forth. It says that then Aaron will always bear the means of making decisions for the Israelites over his heart before the Lord. Today we are the modern priest, pleaded by the blood of the lamb. We do the exact same thing as Aaron did. (1 Peter 2:9 But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.)
Think about the privilege and the honor and the responsibility of us. When Peter told us about our calling, he urge us to live as royal kingly sons. He urge us to walk in that integrity, since most Christians live as the gentiles do, they didn't understand they are the one who's ministering in the presence of God and they don't bother to seek God's face either. The don't bother to know the will of God. Today we have the responsibility if our families or schools or state or country is falling apart. Aaron bear the decisions of Israel. We make decisions for our country in the spirit realm. We must no longer live as the gentiles do as Paul urge us (Eph 4) in the futility of our thinking. They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God. Because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of the heart. It isn't that God didn't speak to us, but we refuse to take the counsel of God, we harden our hearts to the leading and stopping of the Holy Spirit and thus producing ignorance and stupidity within us. And then we've lost our calling as to hold responsible for the destiny of our nations.

think about it? When Aaron and all the other priest went into the tabernacle, it is an extremely holy and dangerous thing. When they're not careful enough, they'll be strike to the death. Today we have the blood of Jesus, but still, the same honor and holiness are the essence of intercession. We are just like the one ministering before the ark of God. We must understand the fear of the Lord and the grace of God in order to be the one that God called us forth.

As we go forth and read about what Aaron did before God, we'll understand the real calling and responsibility of the priest of God. It'll give us insight on regards to intercession.

28:39-41

The army - Holiness unto the Lord - this is exactly what is written upon Aaron's forehead.
