Man of Inegrity
Psalm 15
Lord, who may dwell in your sanctuary?
Who may live on your holy hill?(verse 1)
This is a very interesting question, I want to know what characteristic requires that a man can stand before God.
A man that pleases the Lord, and reflect the glory of God, in other words who walk in the image of Christ in New Testament terms.
Of course righteousness, holiness, humility, and love.
But this quality is unfamiliar to me:
who speaks the truth from his heart(verse 2)
David talks about the word from his mouth as a very important thing. And I believe that a man speaks the truth from his heart not only means don't tell lies, but it also means to speak the truth(the word of God) from our hearts. This reflect the quality of men before the fall, Adam, who governs the world through his mouth. This is how God create us. We suppose to speak the word to our situations and to God to walk in righteousness. The word of our mouth kiss the word of Jesus(Song of songs 1:2) builds a love relationship with God, and through our mouth we use the truth(the command of jesus) to bring forth order in the natural realm. This is the very glory of God when he first created human beings, the original plan of the father's heart.
who keeps his oath even when it hurts(verse 4)
This speaks of our commitment to God. Asaph says in psalm 76:11 make vows to the Lord and fulfill them. It's kind of like a sacrifice to God. A lifestyle of worship will be cultivated through our commitment to God. When I commit to God 2 hours a day to spend time with him, and I actually do it. God honors it, and he is really excited because we value the relationship with Him. When we value the relationship with God we will not promise God with just words and break it in 1 day. A man of integrity really walks in this maturity before both man and God. Madame Guyon at the very beginning committed to God to spend only half an hour a day to spend time with Him. And yet at that very short period of time she had reached in such degree of intimacy and knowledge of God, that her prayer shakes nations through centuries.
Let's take a look of Samuel, in 1 Samuel 4:19, it says that The Lord was with Samuel as he grew up, and he let none of his words fall to the ground.
Wow, this is truly amazing. And when we do all these, God had promised us that
He who does these things will never be shaken(verse 5)
I want to be those who won't be shaken, when the days of evil come, when disease spread, when tribulation hits the earth, I want to be those who can hide in the refuge of God Almighty.
Prayer: Dear Father, I thank for your word. Your commands are good. Help me to keep them in my heart and value them as gold and silver. I pray that you will give me grace to be a man of my word. Would you cleanse my lips, and guard my mouth. I pray that You would let me be aware of every word that I speak. I repent for the times that I had not fulfill my vows to you, and Father will you send you Spirit of might to strengthen my heart to follow through. Give me endurance in my journey. A heart that will keep on burning for you. Father make me strong in the inner man, so that I will walk in your ways. Holy Spirit help me, search my heart, teach me your ways. Make me holy and without blameless before God. I thank you with all of my heart. In Yeshua's name, Amen.

Just make notice, the word of 1 Samuel 4:19, it says that The Lord was with Samuel as he grew up, and he let none of his words fall to the ground. It should be on 1 Samuel 3:19.
